Automotive Parts Definitions for Insurers

Course #1033525

A customer called the shop and said, “My car is making a strange noise.” The technician asked, “What kind?” The customer replied, “An expensive one.” One inspection and one correctly identified part later, the mystery was solved.

Get a clearer understanding of the differences among OEM, aftermarket, reconditioned and salvage parts, plus the claims process, OEM restrictions and legal considerations that shape proper repairs. Learn how parts definitions affect claims outcomes, policyholders and repairs, so you can give clearer, more informed guidance.

Special guest speaker from AAA Auto Parts brings the concepts to life with real-world examples.

What agents are saying: some were hesitant to take this course, but left impressed by how much it helped them advise their insureds.

Maintaining Proper Ethical Protocol

Course #1032819

Ethics under pressure: would you make the right call?

Good people can face tough choices when pressure, opportunity and rationalization collide. In this lively, discussion-driven course, you’ll explore what shapes perspective and decision-making, unpack the fraud triangle, and work through realistic situations where one small choice can lead to serious consequences for employees, employers and clients.

Special guest speakers from the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), plus peer round-tables to test your instincts.
